I got saved on June 19, 1988 and one month later my wife got saved. In November 1990 I heard the voice of God's call to someday pioneer and pastor a church. On July 5, 1998 we pioneered our first church. We started Victory Life Ministries in Commerce City, Colorado and have now changed to City Conquest Christian Center. After many years of serving God we felt like something was missing in our lives. We got tired of church and doing the Christian thing as we were taught. Many church people go through the same routine of going to church week after week, doing the Christian business and are just waiting to go Heaven. Some as a matter of fact are waiting to go to Heaven to receive their healing or miracle. We don't need our healing or miracle in Heaven, we need it now, here on earth. Little do people realize that all that has happened is that the religious spirit has taken over and is keeping many people from receiving their miracle. We have been trained real well on how to be good Christians and how to go to church, read our bibles, pray, and to evangelize by inviting people to church, but we have never been taught on what the Kingdom life is really about.
The revelation that the Lord gave me was that when Jesus came on the scene and was preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, many people rejected the message. The people were trained for years by the religious leaders of the day and were bound by the spirit of religion. Jesus told them the only reason they were following Him was because He was giving them something to eat. Sounds like many people today. Serving the Lord so that their needs could be met. We've come to realize that there is more to the life of the believer than just going to church and doing the Christian business. Our purpose for living the Kingdom life here on earth is to demonstrate the power of Heaven here on earth. We've also come to realize that God doesn't need us in Heaven, He needs us here on earth to take territory and to bring transformation to the lives of His people. God never called us to be Christians but to be sons and daughters of the Kingdom and to live here on earth as Kingdom ctizens. Our task now is to teach, train, impart and equip God's people with the tools to live the Kingdom Lifestyle. To heal the sick, bring delieverance to those that are bound not only to life's addictions and sins, but also from the spirit of religion, and to experience the supernatural power of God. Now we know what being "born again" is really about, its more than a phrase, its about experience. We strongly believe in the Five-fold Government of God, Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, and Evangelist, without it the church is lacking the full power of God.
We want to thank those who have imparted the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom into our lives. We also want to thank our kids, Leilani, Tino and Gabriel for hanging in there with us. Last but not least, we would like to thank the church family that God has sent us to help build and establish His Kingdom. We can not do this without you. Your faithfulness, commitment and support has encouraged us tremendously. Now together we have the assignment of building and establishing His Kingdom here on this earth as it is in Heaven.
